It's hard to overstate just how much I enjoy @Mathologer

Looking for a gift for a math-lover? Say, - A tie referencing its own topology - Socks illustrating the dynamics of a pendulum. - A cuddleable constant of nature - Euler characteristic mugs 10% off at http://3b1b.co/store, plus free shipping for orders over $50. The free shipping for >$50 orders is for everything on DFTBA. So if you wanted to support other independent creators on the platform in the same order (say adding on a nice @Domain of Science poster), today through the 3rd would be a good time to do it.

Hey everyone, I finally go around to doing the 2^21 Q&A. It's meant to be super casual, just me and a phone on a walk, which obviously deviates wildly from the usual channel style. While doing something very different that's just meant for the core audience anyway, I thought I'd try out this whole "Premiere" thing YouTube keeps telling me about. It goes live 5pm PST today, with a chatroom that I'll be hanging out in. I doubt this is a feature I'll use again (for one thing it seems a little unfair to those in less convenient timezones), but why not experiment, right? More proper math videos will be following soon, so stay tuned!

I just did a video in collaboration with Brady Haran at Numberphile! It's based on a beautiful puzzle by Greg Egan, which starts with a darts game and ends in higher dimensions. I hope you enjoy!

Slight delays on the next video, which I was hoping to have out today, but it'll be published tomorrow. Get excited for some number theory!

Got any questions for a 2^21 Q&A? https://www.reddit.com/r/3Blue1Brown/... It'll be something similar in spirit to the previous one (linked here), but I'm open to suggestions on alternate video styles to play with.

If you haven't seen them yet, and if you're even remotely interested in computer engineering, I highly recommend the latest two videos by @Ben Eater about building a graphics card from scratch. For the detail-oriented among you, it certainly scratches an itch.

From today's Fourier series video.

Looking at an old video, I realized the thumbnail could be much simpler, and much more effectively hint at the core surprising fact of the video. For anyone who hasn't seen it, can you guess what would be weird about the 10d analog of this circles-in-a-box drawing? (P.S. Don't worry, the Fourier-Series-solving-heat-equation video is still under production. I took a few of the last weeks off for some personal time)
