The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Mac is a computer history channel, told from the perspective of an Apple fan. Produced by Richard Brown-Martin, a self-described amateur computer historian and Apple nerd, I'll be posting videos about all manner of computer history. I'll look at specific products in depth and try to place Apple in the greater context of what was happening with computing. I'll also be touching on some of the more technical and geeky aspects of technology to provide a basis for understanding the history. The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Mac started as a six-part Apple history column on maccast.com, before being turned into its own (now defunct) podcast. Richard Brown-Martin is a professional Apple support engineer and amateur computer history writer, as well as occasional podcast contributor.
