The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask is an action-adventure video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64. It was released in 2000 as the sixth main installment in The Legend of Zelda series, and was the second using 3D graphics, following The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Majora's Mask is set in Termina, an alternate reality to Hyrule, where the Skull Kid has stolen Majora's Mask, a powerful ancient artifact. Under its influence, the Skull Kid causes the moon to slowly fall towards Termina, where it will crash after three days. The protagonist Link repeatedly travels back in time to the beginning of the three days to stop the moon from destroying the world.

The amount of details jammed into this relatively small world is truly staggering... I love it.

So, let's recap. Romani learns that her family's livelihood is at risk from mysterious, creepy and relentless invaders from another world and her big sister thinks it's some kind of make believe game. Romani's response is to arm herself with a bow, set up balloons around the ranch for her to use as shooting practice, and then heads into the barn in the dead of night to fight off the aliens and protect the moo-cows to the point that even she gets abducted. Pamela's father takes her off to a land where the undead reign so that he may study them more closely. He then begins to transform into a gibdo and the place they were living in is suddenly surrounded by these highly dangerous monsters seeking the return of their soon to be brethren. Her response is to shut her father in the closet and wait there for God only knows how long all by herself, hoping against hope for an escape that may never come. Protecting herself and her father in the midst of the most dangerous area of Termina. It's official. The little girls of this game are certified badasses.

Interesting that there is something in the game to support the Comment of the Day. There are two ways to go back in time in this game. Playing the Sing of Time and letting the moon fall giving you a game over. When you let the moon fall Link is blown away by the blast and next thing he hears is the happy mask sales man saying "You met with a terrible fate haven't you." And then he finds himself in front of the Happy Mask Salesman. Its like he's saying "Oh no you don't you aren't dying until you get my mask you little shit!" And brings you to the first day.

It looks like Nico will be encountering a certain mini-boss, so I just wanted to post some non-spoiler Easter eggs for that fight. During the start of the fight, use the Bremen Mask's march ability. During the same fight, wear the Captain's Hat.

You steal their money, steal someones identity and now you steal his reservation. Kokichi have gone too far.

No spoilers, but you're going to come across a certain fight. When it happens, be sure to Captain's Hat first. Then switch to the Bremen Mask and start marching. Trust me, it's worth it.

14:15 Remember in Ocarina of Time, Darunia named his son after you? In Majora's Mask, that Goron has a counterpart, who also has the same name as you. He made a reservation under his name. That's why his name is Link.
In the 3DS version, if you try to take the reservation, Anju will tell you that the Link in her book is recorded as being a Goron. So you have to be in Goron form to steal the reservation.

There is something I really like about the whole story with Link helping Pamela and her father. Each of the four lands in Termina, the "four worlds" as they call them, has a people associated with them. Link ends up helping each of them in some form, but he can't save everyone. Link helps the Deku people of Southern Swamp, but the Deku Butler's son is long gone, before Link entered the swamp, even before Link entered Termina at all. And wether he ever even realizes his connection with this unfortunate Deku is entirely up to chance, just like it is for the player. Next, Link helps the Goron people of Snowhead Mountain, but he can only meet their hero Darmani as a spirit, who died not that long ago, trying to fight Goht. Darmani even hopefully asks if Link can use his magic to bring him back to life, but all he can do is put his spirit at ease. When Link helps the Zora people of the Great Bay, he actually encounters their hero Mikau while he is still alive. However, Link is still too late, as Mikau is already mortally wounded by the dawn of the first day. Just like before, all he can do is let his spirit rest, and finish what Mikau started. But even victory is bittersweet, knowing Mikau will never be able to truly play with his band again, nor be with the woman he loves and see her children grow up. And then, Link arrives in Ikana Canyon, the land of the undead. One could assume that it was possibly once the land of the Humans, the fourth people of Termina, but regardless of what it truly was, it's all in ruins now and only the Undead are "living" there. It's the most desolate and hopeless place Link has entered during this journey. He is constantly attacked by the spirits of ninja's, living corpses roam the land, and all the spirits seems restless in some way, with the ghost of Sharp specifically resisting the Song of Healing that would always help Link in these situations before. And yet, it is in this seemingly hopeless land where Link finally just barely arrives in time. He manages to free Pamela's father from the curse, happily reuniting him with his daughter. Just this once, Link is able to save an innocent life.

Nico, I want to give you a little more detail about the Anju and Kafei quest. Firstly, about Kafei's friends that he mentioned in his diary, we already know that the Curiosity Shop guy is one,as he said himself, but evidence shows that the postman is another. Remember how when Anju asked you to mail a letter to Kafei the postman immediately knew to give it to the kid at the pool? That pretty much confirms that the postman knew that was Kafei and since Kafei is proving so good at remaining hidden in spite of not leaving the town I think it is safe to believe that the postman knows because Kafei trusted him enough to tell him like he told Curiosity Guy. This also gives new meaning to the scene where he delivers Kafei's letter to Anju and when Anju asks where it came from he gives really vague answers; he wasn't being dumb, he was covering for Kafei because, like Curiosity Guy, he understands and respects that Kafei can't bear to face Anju again until he retrieves his wedding mask and is helping him stay hidden.

I also want to present another perspective on the Cremia situation as I'm pretty sure you've misunderstood it. I don't believe Cremia loves Kafei; I believe the reason Cremia gets offended when you ask her about him is that you are not the first person to come to the ranch asking about him and she is sick of people thinking she would have an affair with her best friend's fiance. Remember that there is a rumor circulating around town that Kafei disappeared because he wanted out of his marriage, so it makes sense that they would also believe that he was seeing someone else. Since Anju's mother is suspicious of Cremia it makes sense that she would have sent people there to look for him. In fact, it seems likely that Anju's mother is the source of the rumor. I can't tell if Anju's mother is saying these things because she has anything against Cremia and/or Kafei and is trying to distance Anju from them or if she is just the type to be suspicious of people, but what I definitely believe is that Cremia would not do that to Anju.

Imagine how screwed up Link's emotions are going to be at the end of this. He knows everyone's problems, how to solve them, and what the consequences are if he doesn't. But there's no way he can solve everyone's problems because they all overlap. Plus, nobody can appreciate all the work that he does do because it disappears when the loop resets.

Going off on the Masked Salesman theories; Have you even noticed that he almost never moves unlike everyone else? Every cutscene with him always just cuts abruptly to another animation cycle, something no one else is animated. He’s... just the exception. Even when presenting a giant church organ out of nowhere, it’s gone just the same. Just adds to the eeriness and otherworldliness he has in the game.

One of the questions the Keaton can tell you is "How many cows are there around Clock Town?" You know, the little bobbleheads you were gaping at at the beginning of the episode.

Funny thing about kitsune, each 100 years they grow a tail, indicating their age, so in this case, that yellow kitsune is 300 years old

Oh yeah, in Japanese pretty much ALL Gorons say "-goro" at the end of their lines in most of the games (Zora say "-zora" and Deku Scrubs say "-ppi") but this was removed in English. But they HAD to use it for Link the Goron here, because the scene wouldnt make sense otherwise.
