There's been a last minute twist in the push to pass the refugee medivac bill through Parliament.
The controversial legislation cleared the Lower House yesterday but is yet to pass the Senate.
Crossbencher Derryn Hinch, who effectively holds a casting vote, is receiving security briefings before he'll make a final decision whether to back the Bill.
