What a great talk! He makes it very simple, to summarize do these for reducing risk of Alzheimer's and increase well being:

1. Eat colorful fruits and veggies daily: blueberries, grapes, broccoli etc for better memory.

2. Take Vitamin E to eliminate free radicals from brain but not just from pills but from foods like nuts / seeds (just a few), spinach, mangoes etc.

3. Reduce trans-fat from foods like donuts, pastries; and saturated fats like from Bacon, meat, cheese/dairy.

4. Reduce metals like iron, copper. Do not use iron skillets etc.

4. Exercise: nothing crazy, just do brisk walk three times a week, up to 40 minutes each time.

Do all of the above and one can reduce the risk of Alzheimer's by 80% even if you have the gene.

I've been whole food vegan, oil free for 6 months. I have lost 45 lbs. My waist has gone from 42 to 36. And my mind feels sharp as a tac. Impoved memory and problem solving.

I was the sole-caregiver for my mother, who had Alzheimer's. Towards the end, she didn't know, specifically, who I was. She did, however, know that I was someone who loved her, unconditionally, and that she felt the same way about me.... she never exercised...😪

This hit me right in the feels, Dr Barnard, as I’ve lost family members to Alzheimer’s. Thank you for sharing; I will do the same.

The government does not want you to know this stuff. They want you to get sick so they can make money. Processed foods wouldn't sell, fast food, and doctors would be out of jobs because no one would be getting sick!

Sadly. for many people they prefer the alternative, eating pizza, watching sports on TV with a beer. Making a big deal out of eating a bit of lettuce or a Tomato and just popping a daily multivitamin is their grand gesture towards healthy living

Modern life is poison
